Cal.doc is a Microsoft Word Document, which can be opened in any version of Word. It can be used to print a useful 3-month Calendar to tape to your CRT or wall, and also serves as a learning tool in coding Word VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). By calling the document up in Word, and clicking on 'Tools', 'Macros', 'Visual Basic Editor' (if you have it installed), you can see all the coding of the 'gencal' Macro, and how it paints the three calendars, which are comprised of two Tables: one for the larger calendar, one for the two smaller calendars.
To run the macro, click on the 'Generate Calendar' button. The program will ask for the Month (1-12), and 2-digit Year, and will then generate a Calendar as shown above, which you can then just send to your printer. |
